Who Dunnit?
It was a Saturday. The sun was shining and I was walking down to the drain at the edge of the College field. I was wearing my favourite black shorts and my old dark green t-shirt. I am tall for a ten year old and I have freckles, brown eyes and hair. My longish hair is getting sweatier as time goes by.
I get to the drain and I see duckweed, hear bird’s chirping and I smell mud!!! The water is calm and murky from the ducks. I put some bread in the water and then I wait for the fish to come and start eating it. When they start nibbling it, I grab the net 1and try to catch the small fish. I catch about five to ten fish with each scoop of the net. I end up with about 50 fish in my bucket and am ready to carry them back home in the heat.
Just as I am about to pick up my bucket I see a strange man, sneaking quietly and `placing something in the water. I wait a few minutes until he has gone then I go and check it out. I think he saw me before he left. I headed on over. When I got there I saw something poking out of the water… so I look a little bit closer. It was a treasure chest. I could try and get it with my net but it would snap so I had to think of a different way to do it. Luckily I had some rope with me so I tried to wrap it around the treasure chest. It took me a while to get it snagged on the chest. I tried to pull it up but I couldn't so I wrapped the rope around a tree and pulled and pulled it as hard as I could. Finally I got it unstuck so I reached and grabbed it by the handle when I got it up onto the bank I left it there for a little bit to drain. When it had drained I opened it and there was… NOTHING IN IT!?!?!? So I went back to my stuff to go home.
I soon realized that my epipen wasn’t there so I searched for a while but I couldn't find it so I decided to go home. When I got home I froze the fish to feed to my bigger fish. The next day I get a knock on the door so I go and see who it is. When I open the door I see a man that I don't recognise but also looks a little bit familiar. I look a little bit closer and I see my epipen. So I said “Is that mine?”
“Yes,” the man replied, “I have come to give it back. I realised that it was really important so I decided to give it back.
So it turns out that he is a nice man after all.

C.S.I
This term in whetu there was a crime scene that we have to try and solve who did it in our groups.
In the crime scene, there was a broken vase smashed window, a pen, scrunchie, Milky Way bars, Mr sings license, a cup with some sorts of liquid in, and a tissue with blood on it.

This week we were looking at fingerprints first had an ink pad and we rolled our fingers to get the ink in between your fingerprints, then we dabbed them to get some of the ink off, then we rolled it onto another piece of paper. I have 4 arches and 4 loops, then 2 whorls.

My Term 2, 2020 Reflection
The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the paper planes because I won the challenge because I flew it into the hangar the most times.
The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was anagrams because it was a challenge. I enjoyed figuring them out by using the letters.
An aim I have for my learning is to get my Number of the Day done quicker.

" Farmer Green told his new farmhand, Danny.
Danny nodded and went to work.
He fed all of the animals, and then he cleaned the stables.
It was hard work, but Danny was happy to have a job.
At first Farmer, Green watched him carefully,
but gradually he gave Danny some distance,
showing him his trust.
Danny was exhausted from a hard day's work.
He wiped the sweat from his brow and proceeded
to exit the barn. He left the lock in a pile of hay by the
shovels and shut the door behind himself, walking away
from the unlocked door. Danny was off to see Farmer Green
find out his next task...

skink
I went on a walk along the stopbank and I found this skink and I had to carry it home in my hands. Then when we got home I made an enclosure for it. I put a water container made out of a glass jar lid and a little hidey-hole for it and some rocks to go and hide under. I found an ants nest by my treehouse on the fence and so I fed the ants to it a baby. It ate three ants and a moth.
